Summer Programs 2022
Summer 2022 Training Workshops & STEM CAD-ettesThe FEDS (201), the robotics team at Rochester High School, are hosting free summer workshops for RCS students in grades 7-12 who are interested in developing introductory skills used in the FIRST robotics program at the high school level. Our workshops are geared toward beginners in the areas of programming, electrical, mechanical, machining, CAD/design, safety, business and FRC awards. These workshops are ideal for incoming freshman and other middle schoolers interested in robotics, who want to explore the FIRST Robotics program. We especially encourage middle school girls interested in STEM to participate. Our team provides a STEM support group (STEM CAD-ettes), run by girls on the high school robotics team and their mentors, for middle school girls interested in STEM. This group meets during the workshop times on Thursdays and allows participants to connect with, and learn from, the older girls involved in robotics. All workshops will be held at Rochester High School, in the robotics wing (around the back of the building on the tennis court side, near the big brown garage doors). These workshops will be run by our wonderful volunteer mentors, who are industry leaders in STEM fields, along with our student leads who have specific expertise in their respective areas of the team.
