Is the most diverse student group in our school, with over 60 agents on the team representing a variety of racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Presented to our district's Parent Diversity Network to promote our team as an inclusive space for all students and to learn more about how we can improve our recruiting and retainment of a more diverse cross-section of students.
Requires all new mentors to be trained in the FIRST EDI principles
Has Lead Mentors who helped spearhead our district's Parent Diversity Network three years ago
Explicitly discusses diversity, equity, and inclusion during orientation and in our team agreement, while also evaluating student and mentor experiences through end of season surveys and interviews to ensure that we are upholding our aspiration to be an inclusive team
